Edinburgh’s RMT branch unanimously decided to support Daren Ireland for this very important role in our union . Daren is already a serving officer having also spent many years serving on the RMT’s National Executive, Branch Secretary and much more ! He is a proven activist and officer who not only deals with branch matters but he also takes on regional and national negotiations and representations.
He has masterminded and led successful campaigns to win workers a union voice and protection for the first time ever . He doesn’t just talk about the importance of winning ‘recognition’ from new employers… he actually does it!!
