SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS EAST COAST'S FLAWED 'PROJECT EUREKA'

Pat Sikorski, RMT's Assistant General Secretary addresses a well attended meeting

GREAT TURN OUT AT SPECIAL MEETING TO DISCUSS EAST COAST'S FLAWED 'PROJECT EUREKA'

A well attended meeting heard RMT's Assistant General Secretary, Pat Sikorski address the many concerns raised by our members.

Twenty six members turned out to express concerns over the project Eureka.

Several Company Councillors and local reps added their comments and nobody was left in any doubt that the proposals would create much damage.

There is no doubt that East Coast are rushing ahead to try slash costs and little thought has been given to the consequences.

After much debate, the unanimous decision was to keep all grades united in the fight against these ill thought out proposals and to launch a spirited campaign.

ALL GRADES ARE UNITED IN OPPOSITION
