Words cannot convey the sorrow we feel at this awful time and of course our thoughts and sympathies go to Bob's partner Niki and his family.
Bob will be sadly missed by not just RMT members but by countless decent people who admired Bob's tireless efforts to advance the interests of working people across the world.
Bob was always welcome in Edinburgh and he liked nothing better than meeting our members.
We are proud to have supported Bob and the way he led our union was an inspiration
